I guess one of the perks of being sick is that people tend to dote on you. I got LOTS of goodies in the mail the day after my surgery, which I definitely did not hate.
Since the birthday cake/flower arrangement was a HUGE hit in the Deveau household, Kate decided to send me one of my very own. It totally cheered me up!
Then Ratty sent me a care package of chocolate covered strawberries and apples from Edible Arrangements. While I couldn't really eat them, they LOOKED pretty!
And last but not least! I had ordered a new laptop sleeve from Bertie's Closet on Etsy, my second purchase from their shop, first time I got an awesome Kindle case. This time I got a multi-colored viewfinder print and I absolutely LOVE it! I love getting things in the mail, even if I did pick it out, order it and pay for it myself!
I guess there is small, and I mean REALLY small upside to being sick! People send you things!
